45 Day True Warranty

You can shop with confidence at HobbyTron.com with our 45 Day True Warranty. For any item that has a manufacturing defect outside of customer damage within 45 days of the purchase date, we will repair or replace your product. We do not warranty lost, crashed, repaired or modified items.* Refunds are only available on items that are unopened, unused and returned within 30 days of receipt. Simply fill out an RMA Request form which can be found at the following link "Request a RMA".

*If your product is no longer available you will receive an in-store credit equal to the original purchase price of the product (expires after 6 months).

Refund Policy

Unopened items must be returned within 30 days of receipt in order to receive a refund. We accept returns for refunds on new, unopened and unused items only. Refunds do not include shipping and handling and there will be a 20% restocking fee charged to any item returned for a refund. The restocking fee does not apply to Exchanges. Replacement and refurbished product orders are not eligible for refunds. Open items that are defective are returnable for a replacement or repair* in accordance with our 45 Day True Warranty.

Please note: If a refund has been issued, please allow up to two billing cycles for your refund to appear on your credit card statement.

*If your product is no longer available you will receive an in-store credit equal to the original purchase price of the product (expires after 6 months).


Returns Policy

Return Guidelines:

  1. IF DAMAGED IN SHIPPING: If your package arrives damaged during shipping, please refuse the package or return it to a FedEx shipping location within 24 hours. Mark the item "Refused due to shipping damage." You must then call us so we can file a claim with FedEx. Failure to do so will result in loss of refund or replacement by FedEx.
  2. KEEP PACKAGING: Save all boxes, packaging material, and paperwork. Don't throw anything away. They are required items for all return issues.
  3. READ INSTRUCTIONS: Read the instructions carefully and completely. Many of the items we sell can be damaged the first time if used improperly. Improper use will void your warranty. NOTE: not all items come with instructions.
  4. START SLOWLY: Take your time to get familiar with the items to prevent accidental damage.

Submitting a Return:

You must have an RMA (Return Merchandise Authorization) number to return merchandise. RMAs can be submitted using the following form: "Request a RMA." Be sure to attach any photos or videos that help illustrate that the item has not been damaged while in your possession. If you are requesting an RMA number for multiple items on an order, please include all items on the same RMA form.

After submitting an RMA request you will be contacted within 8-10 business days via email. After you receive your RMA number you must return items to:

You must return all packaging, manuals, and items included in the original product box along with your packing slip and a detailed explanation of the defect. It generally takes 2-3 weeks to process a return after it is received (4-6 weeks during the holidays). You will be contacted via email as soon as the return has been processed.

Items returned to us with an RMA number must be received within 30 days of the RMA issuance. A returned item with damage caused by the customer will receive at most a 20% in-store credit*. The credit will be issued on a case-by-case basis and the item will be immediately discarded. We are not responsible for shipping charges or return shipping charges on defective or returned items unless you are missing an item from your order. Returned items that originally had free shipping and refused orders will be charged shipping for the return. If we warranty the item directly we will pay the shipping charges to send you the repaired or replacement item.

*In-store credits expire after 6 months.


Exchange Policy

You MUST have an RMA number to exchange any merchandise. Exchanges for items ordered by the customer incorrectly can only be exchanged if unopened and unused. Opened items will not be accepted for exchanges for non-defective items.

We want you to feel totally satisfied when you order products from HobbyTron.com. If for any reason you are not completely satisfied with your purchase, call us so we can resolve any concerns. Please follow these steps to process an exchange:

  1. Make sure your original invoice is dated within the last 45 days. Click here to submit a request for RMA (Return Merchandise Authorization).
  2. Check all returned items to be sure they are in new condition (including all original packaging and accessories.)
  3. Include a copy of the original invoice. On the back of the invoice, please write your name, e-mail address, phone number, and the item(s) you would like to receive in exchange for the return.
  4. Pack the item(s) securely and mail to: HobbyTron.com, 28904 Avenue Paine, Valencia, CA 91355.
  5. Shipping charges are not refunded. You will be responsible for the return shipping fees incurred to send the item(s) back to us.


Defective Items

A defective item is an item that arrives undamaged in shipping but does not function properly due to a manufacturing issue. The item must not have any visible damage and the defect must clearly be from manufacturing issues. Returns for opened items misrepresented as defective or returned items with damage caused by the customer will not qualify as a manufacturing defect.

Many of our items are covered by a manufacturer warranty, therefore, you will need to return them to the manufacturer only. The following is a list of SKU (Item Number) prefixes that we DO NOT warranty. All other products will fall under the by HobbyTron.com 45 Day True Warranty. If you receive a defective item simply call the manufacturer for help:

We apologize in advance on behalf of the manufacturer for any defective items you receive. Please understand that defects do occur occasionally and we know how frustrating they can be. We want to help you receive a working product as quickly as possible and will work with you to resolve any issues that are the result of a manufacturer defect.

Any item that was opened and played with and was in working condition out of the box is NOT considered a defect. If your item has simply stopped working, please call customer service or email refurb@hobbytron.com for technical support. If we are unable to resolve your issue, we will attempt to provide whatever information available to us that may help.

If we warranty the item directly we will pay the shipping charges to send you the repaired or replacement item. If we are unable to repair the warranteed item and/or do not have the same item available for replacement, we reserve the right to send a similar item in its place.

Please note: Items returned to us without an RMA number will be refused. Please see our Returns Policy for further information.


Monthly Subscription Policy

All monthly subscription plans require a monthly minimum cycle purchase before cancellation. If the monthly subscription plan is canceled before the minimum cycle purchase, the customer is responsible for the cost of the free item. The 1 month plan requires a minimum 3 month cycle before you can cancel. 6 and 12 month plans require you to complete the full cycle before you can cancel. After your monthly cycle expires, pricing will continue at the normal monthly rate. The initial 6 and 12 month plans will be charged for the full amount. At the end of the 6 and 12 month plans, your subscription will fall into a month to month subscription unless otherwise canceled. There are no refunds for subscriptions.


Airsoft Guns Policy

All airsoft items will be evaluated by an in-house airsoft technician prior to issuing a replacement product or store credit. If your gun is repairable it will be returned to working condition and shipped back to you

Disclaimer: Most of our airsoft guns require and are sold with an orange tip. It it is illegal to remove the orange tip. If the orange tip is removed the gun will no longer be eligible for a return of any kind. You must be 18 years of age or older to purchase any airsoft gun. We are not responsible for any harm or accident caused by any misuse of airsoft products.


Magic Tricks / Items Policy

Magic items are different than just about anything else you will ever purchase. Magic items are made up of two things:

  1. The magic item itself
  2. The secret to how the trick is done.

All magic sales are final. When you purchase magic from HobbyTron you are purchasing the secret too. Since you cannot return your knowledge of the secret we cannot accept a return on any magic items. All magic sales are final.The manufacturer accepts returns on magic items that have a manufacturer's defect. Please see our Return Policy on how to return a magic item with a defect from the manufacturer.


Kits - No Returns

Kits cannot be returned for any reason. You may contact the manufacturer of the item for missing parts or if the kit does not work, however, we cannot accept them as returns.

With the Hobbytron.com Protection Plan, you will have the added peace of mind knowing that if your product has a defect we will simply repair or replace your covered product. Our Protection Plan saves you time, hassle and money. If you are protected by a Protection Plan, we will replace or repair your product.* To order a Product Protection Plan please add your plan of choice to your cart when placing your order, you cannot order a protection plan at a later time.

Replacement Plan Benefits:

  2. Covers mechanical, manufacture and electrical failures on delivery.

How to request service

If your covered product fails, do not fret, just call (818) 675-9000. Our Customer Service agents are standing by to assist you. Please make sure to have your ordering information on hand. To order a Product Protection Plan please add your plan of choice to your cart when placing your order, you cannot order a protection plan at a later time.

If you are protected by a Protection Plan, we will repair or replace your product*. We are not responsible for return shipping charges on the item that is covered by the Protection Plan.

Shipping Policies

Shipping times and rates are only estimates and are not guaranteed. Drop shipping is not available. Additional shipping may be required on your order due to weight, zip code, your combination of items, or other factors. We cannot control occasional inventory shortages, shipping carrier delays, customs delays, weather delays or other factors that can delay your shipment. We will do our best to get your product to you as soon as possible.

If you order more than one item and select Next Day or Second Day Air Shipping, all items in stock will be shipped immediately as requested. Next Day and Second Day Air Shipping orders submitted after 2:30 pm PST will ship the following business day. Any backorder items will be shipped by Ground, US Mail or SmartPost upon arrival. Items listed with Free Shipping will be shipped using Ground or Smartpost shipping.

If we warranty an item directly we will pay the shipping charges to send you the repaired or replacement item.

Free Shipping is available on most orders over a $99 subtotal. Offer excludes Alaska and Hawaii shipments, 3D Robotics, Blade, Classic Army, G&G, Horizon Hobby, HPI, Jing Gong, RedCat Racing, Traxxas, Sale Items, Daily Deals, Refurbished, Oversize Items, and Wholesale.


Order Fulfillment Policy

Most in-stock items will be shipped within 2-3 business days. You must be 18 years of age or older to purchase any airsoft products.

For out-of-stock items, you will be notified of any delay. You must pay all orders in advance (at the time of order), even for out-of-stock items.

Once your order is processing and sent to the warehouse it cannot be edited or canceled. HobbyTron.com guarantees that you will get a new working product(s) or you can return the product(s) for repair or replacement. Color, frequency, and packaging may vary. The policy does not cover any free gift items. Occasionally items run out or are discontinued from a specific manufacturer. We reserve the right to send items of equivalent function in order to fill your order in a timely manner.

Any Free Items or Monthly Giveaway Items are limited to one per order, per shipping address. In some cases, such as during the rush before Christmas, we reserve the right to upgrade your order to an item(s) that is completely different but that is lots of fun - hand-picked by our experts to get you a fun gift in a timely manner. If you are unhappy with the exchanged or upgraded item, you can return it unopened per the usual policies.


Errors and Omissions

All prices, pictures, and descriptions on this site and all other HobbyTron.com publications are subject to change. HobbyTron.com maintains no responsibility for inadvertent errors. In the event of typographical errors on our site or in our publications, HobbyTron.com reserves the right to cancel or refuse orders at its sole discretion. Please contact us within 24 hours regarding price or promotion discrepancies. HobbyTron.com is not liable for errors in prices listed on the site due to computer error or human error.
